The Noida Authority is finally moving forward with land acquisition for the New Noida project after securing the crucial backing of 281 local farmers. With compensation packages officially locked in, the administration is set to break ground on the massive Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad Investment Region (DNGIR), an ambitious urban expansion project that will sprawl across roughly 20,000 hectares. Noida Authority CEO Krishna Karunesh personally reviewed the blueprint and ordered ground teams to fast-track the paperwork immediately. The breakthrough came during a recent community meeting where local villagers and gram pradhans came to the table, formally signing over their plots through mutual agreements.
Because of the sheer scale of the development, the state has mapped out a rollout strategy split across four separate phases. The plan kicks off with acquiring 3,165 hectares by 2027, ramping up with an additional 3,798 hectares by 2032, expanding by 5,908 hectares by 2037, and wrapping up the final 8,230 hectares by 2041. Landowners will see their actual payouts shift depending on which window their land falls into. For the first two phases, payouts will align with Greater Noida Authority benchmarks alongside an additional incentive of a developed plot equal to 6% of their surrendered land. The final two phases will pivot to Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) scales, bumping the developed plot incentive up to 7% of their original holdings.
To make these offers more appealing, the Greater Noida Authority recently bumped its baseline payout rate from ₹4,125 all the way up to ₹6,415 per square meter, while YEIDA nudged its own rate from ₹4,300 to ₹4,558 per square meter. To handle the heavy operational lifting and keep the transition smooth for families, the Noida Authority has carved out three brand-new administrative work circles—11, 12, and 14. Beyond the New Noida planning, the review meeting also tackled a few vital transit updates. Drivers will be glad to hear that the 5.5-km Chilla elevated road linking Mayur Vihar to the Mahamaya Flyover has hit the 60% completion mark and is on track to open by July next year. Meanwhile, a detailed blueprint is already finalized for a 1.4-km elevated link to bridge the Chilla exit directly with the Yamuna Pushta Road, with official construction tenders hitting the market within the next two weeks.
