upcoming board meeting of the Noida Authority

In the upcoming Noida Authority’s meeting, the primary focus of the development will be on the new mixed land use property scheme, alongside this year’s budget, as they are planning to increase land rates and budget this year. At Gautam Buddha University, the centre of excellence would be the key discussion point. And, the decision is pending whether the research will be on semiconductors or on stem cells.

NOIDA: The Authority of Noida will conduct a board meeting next week, in which the budget will be discussed. Approval for the key projects – including a proposed centre of excellence at Gautam Buddha University is under consideration. The Authority is also expected to discuss the launch of a mixed land use property scheme.

The Authority is now responsible for a mixed land-use scheme and is preparing to finalize the total number of plots, sizes, and their rates at the board meeting.

Last year, at a board meeting, Noida approved the budget of 8732 crore rupees and had increased the allotment rate by 6% of all categories, including residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional. Similarly, they are planning to increase the land rate and budget too this year.

The Authority will also deliberate on the upcoming Centre of Excellence to be established at the GBU. The primary focus of this discussion will be to determine whether the Centre’s objective will be semiconductor or stem cell research, which is scheduled for next week, at which point the final decision will be announced. This information was provided by Noida CEO Krishna Karunesh.

This initiative will strengthen the research environment within the university and help establish Noida as a hub for high- level scientific development. While the university will manage this project, the funding for it will be provided by the authority. In 2008, GBU opened its doors to students and is fully funded by the Noida and Greater Noida authorities.

Some components like transistors and integrated circuits (microchips) that power smartphones, computers, and televisions, are used to make semiconductors, used in communication systems, automobiles, and Industrial machines.

A semiconductor park is being developed in sectors 10 and 28 by YEIDA. It is located near the upcoming  Noida International Airport, which is designed to attract Global and Domestic companies with the offer of world-class infrastructure.

Stem cells are basically undifferentiated means having self renewal capacity, unique cells, found in the human body, which have the tendency to develop into different types of specialized cells like muscles, nerves, or blood cells. They are used to treat diseases like leukemia through bone marrow transplantation.
